I’ve been making masks for the homeless. Truthfully I did not land on this good deed as early in the pandemic as I would have liked to. I was driving in early May and there were people on the streets without masks. I started to wonder if that was by choice (after all we have discovered even masks can be politicized) or by lack of option. Our church has a homeless ministry so I contacted them and it began.
I am hesitant to share this. I don’t need the credit for my small contribution. But I do want it to encourage your awareness of possibility. A small action or gesture by you has potential. It’s not about what you can do, it’s about what Jesus can do through you.
In a season where we may feel we have little power, let’s release the pursuit of control and lean into God’s plan for us.
