Welcome to my blog. I'm so excited to share with you my latest finds and feels.
I actually don’t know when it exactly started. Was it with my first published poem at age 9 in Cricket Magazine? Was it my love for Nancy Drew mysteries when illness forced me to forfeit “normal” childhood and stay in bed? Was it when I started writing entertaining emails to family and friends while I was in graduate school—cutting into a cadaver, and worrying about getting all the body matter off the bottom of my shoes before leaving lab? I’m sorry, but it’s true, and it fueled my continued passion for telling the stories of my life.
All I know is words have always been there for me to use. It’s felt scary to share them publicly, but the time has come! It is here and now. Sometimes my world feels small—who will want to read about picking lemons with my three-year-old? But the truth is: there is beauty to be found in the everyday! My faith services me to find joy in the midst of sorrow or even boredom. So here are my moments—big and small—that I’m sharing with you. I hope you enjoy.
